Right Side of the Finished Gun
Here's the right side of the finished product. Sure does look nicer than it used to!
During assembly I found that Perma Fin is truly tough. Dovetailing the front sight into its base took a bit of work, and I repeatedly whacked it on the side with a brass hammer to drive it in.
This hammering marred the finish on the side of the front sight, and I was left with the impression that the Perma Fin was removed from it, but danged if I could find any trace of the finish on my little hammer.
At any rate, the front sight hood covers that nicely anyhow, and looks great.
The rear sight fared even better.
