PS3 screen is black and don't know what to do? This problem is quite common on a lot of ps3. There is no need to worry as it is usually not a serious problem. I will try my best in this article with my knowledge to ensure you can get it fixed in minimal amount of time.

To fix the problem

1) Turn off your Playstation 3

2) Unplug the power cord from your Playstation 3

3) Detach the hard drive from your Playstation 3 after power cord is detached

4) Check to see if the hard drive bay has a lot of dust

5) Simply vacuum any dust in the bay with a vacuum cleaner

6) Plug the hard drive back in the Playstation 3

7)Plug the power cord back in and turn on your Playstation 3

If your Playstation 3 black screen occur because of loose hard drive, then the above procedure should fix it. Hopefully this works for you.

However, if problem persists, there is still no need to panic. There are two options you can pick that guarantee to fix the problem.

1) Getting it fixed by Sony

You can get the ps3 black screen fixed by Sony for the cost about $200 with a wait time of around 6 weeks.

Instead of calling Sony to get it fixed, I would just recommend the purchase of a new ps3 since the cost of fixing the problem is quite expensive.

2) Fix the PS3 yourself with the help of a ps3 repair guide

If you want to fix the ps3 black screen yourself at home but is not too familiar with the procedures or is not too confident, then a PS3 fix guide is recommended. I couldn't teach you how to fix it here because I do not have step by step instruction with screenshots and videos like the guide provides.
