Many people who have suffered from acne for a number of years believe that they will not be able to get rid of it and it is a permanent problem.
This is actually not the case but more than likely they have been going about treating it the wrong way.
Many people apply creams and pharmaceutical products to their face and when it does not make a change they move on to another treatment.
This is not recommended and there is actually a more natural way to treat blemishes that does not require this expense.
Instead of buying new treatments you should begin a natural skin care regime.
This begins with washing your face once in the morning and once before bed using a perfume free soap.
Any more cleaning and you can dry up your skin and also irritate it.
You should not need to do this more than twice a day.
You should also be making sure you have a healthy diet.
Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables and drink water.
If possible try and buy natural produce as this will be kinder on your skin.
If you consume a lot of processed food, sugary items or anything particularly greasy, the try to cut this out of your diet.
You should also ensure you are getting plenty of exercise.
This helps your circulation which in turn helps your skin.
Try and get out into the fresh air as well, so you may like to try jogging or cycling as part of your exercise regime.
