Games Similar to Diablo 2
- Diablo 2 features easy-to-learn gameplay, random loot tables and an isometric viewpoint which caused it to quickly become a hallmark of role-playing games. Many other games adopted a similar style in order to tell their own historical or fantasy story, each adding its own world to the gaming experience.
- As the sequel to the original "Sacred" video game, Fallen Angel revisits the world with updated graphics and six different character classes. The gameplay is very similar to that of Diablo 2 and players familiar with that title will recognize the point-and-click interface. Sacred 2 features the ability to play as good or evil and updates the Diablo 2 formula with mounted combat and a robust trade system.
- Dungeon Siege 2 gives players the reins of a complete party of adventurers, instead of only one, and offers a visual treat in its fantasy world. Enhanced particle effects let spells sizzle and explosions rip through the environment as your party discovers the secrets of the ancient dryads and their powerful opponents. Characters use a skill tree similar to that found in Diablo 2 and each class has its own set of unique abilities.
- The high fantasy worlds give way to a more history-based setting in Beyond Divinity. Players take control of a human, the only race in the game, who is devoted to stopping evil. Players get to control two characters as their inquisitor is fused with a Death-knight, an evil warrior of great power. These opposing forces must work together to break their bond and escape the prison universe where they find themselves. A random loot generator determines what equipment the pair will encounter, in the same fashion as the loot tables of Diablo 2.
