Dodge Sprinter Information
- In the U.S., the Dodge Sprinter van was mainly used in the commercial industry as a cargo van, but soon caught on with private consumers as well. A strong selling point for the Sprinter was its extra tall roof which allowed passengers to stand fully erect while inside the van.
- The Dodge Sprinter van had inviting conversion possibilities for American car buyers. Some consumers converted it into a miniature RV or a wheelchair accessible van while the hotel industry used it to transport guests. Public transportation also favored the van as a preferred way to transport handicapped passengers.
- Mercedes-Benz was the manufacturer behind the Dodge Sprinter van from 2003 to 2009. Dodge's rights to brand and sell the van ended in 2009. From 2010 on, the van will be sold worldwide as the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.
