The debut album by the new rapper MM Trash has topped the charts.
Called Mind Trash, the album features the rapper's inflammatory lyrics about the trivia the mass media dumps into his mind day in and day out.
Complaining that there is no escape for him, because all he does is listen to the radio and watch TV, the rapper laments that his mind is overdosed with moronic concerns, such as: How long will it be before Britney Spears can prove Kevin Federline is an even worse parent than she is? Why hasn't Paris Hilton been arrested this month? What's the latest food item that's laced with salmonella? How many lead-tainted toys have been returned to China today? Will ethanol ever lower the price of gasoline? How long will it take before the Iraqis figure out we'll leave as soon as they stop killing one another? Will Hillary Clinton be the first American President to have a husband? Has George Bush ever changed his mind or been known to have one? And, of course, will Dick Cheney ever go quail hunting again? With such revealing subject matter, MM Trash has won the hearts and minds of a nation, apparently because people all across America find that exactly the same sort of trivia has inundated their own minds.
At one point the rapper does have an insightful moment, when he screams, "Tell me, man, how long can people who have this kind of crap on their minds run the greatest nation on earth?"
