How to Adjust Your Head Unit for Bass in a Car
- 1). Turn the ignition on. It does not matter whether you start the engine or not.
- 2). Examine the front of the radio for controls labeled "bass" and "treble." To increase the bass adjust the treble up and the bass down.
- 3). Examine the front of the radio again for a button that says "audio controls" or "push for audio controls." Push this button and scroll through the options until you find the bass and treble. Adjust the bass up for more bass.
- 4). Enter the menu on your computerized radio until you find the option that is labeled "EQ," "Audio Controls," "Sound," or something similar. Enter this sub-menu and increase the bass. If you have a visual equalizer (several vertical bars) then increase the height of the bar on the left to increase the bass.
- 5). Examine the front of the stereo for a bass boost button. Press this for a set increase in the volume of the bass.
