How to Plant Italian Cypress Trees
- 1). Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Line the hole with compost.
- 2). Make a mound in the middle of the hole. The mound needs be high enough to hold the main part of the tree sapling so the top of the roots sit just under the top of the soil.
- 3). Bury the roots. Water the roots twice a week. Add an acidic fertilizer. Fertilize once a year. The roots need room to grow, so remove any rocks or dead roots from other plants.
