How to Port Forward With a Westell 6100 Router
- 1). Click on the Start menu and select "Run" or "Start Search" depending on your version of Windows.
- 2). Type "cmd" in the box and press "Enter."
- 3). Type "ipconfig" and press "Enter." Make a note of your IP address.
- 4). Launch your web browser and point it at "http://192.168.1.1." Enter the username "admin" and the password "password" when prompted and press "Enter."
- 5). Click the "Configuration" button at the top of the page and select "Define Custom Service" near the bottom of the page. Enter a name such as "Port Forward" for this new service.
- 6). Select "Port Forwarding Ranges of Ports" and click "Next." Enter the range of ports you'd like to forward in the appropriate boxes. If you're forwarding only one port, enter the same port number twice. Select the appropriate protocol, TCP or UDP.
- 7). Click the "Next" button then click "Close." Select your custom service from the drop-down menu and click "Enable."
