Using the Function Keys

• 1). Push and hold the "Function" (FN) key on the left side of your keyboard.
  
  
• 2). Tap the "F7" key repeatedly to increase the screen brightness.
  
  
• 3). Tap the "F8" key repeatedly if you want to decrease the screen brightness.
  
  
• 4). Release the "Function" key when you're finished.
  
  

In Windows Vista

• 1). Click on the battery icon in the Vista notification area. Click on "Power Options."
  
  
• 2). Click on "Change Plan Settings" next to your selected plan.
  
  
• 3). Move the selector bar to the right to increase the screen brightness. Move the bar to the left to decrease the brightness. Close the power options window.
  
  

In Windows 7

• 1). Click on the battery icon in the Windows 7 notification area.
  
  
• 2). Click on "Adjust Screen Brightness."
  
  
• 3). Move the bar at the bottom of the power options window to the right to increase the brightness. Move it to the left to decrease the brightness.
