Bogus Business Opportunities

12
The more you know about scams, the better prepared you'll be to avoid them.
As long as people continue to fall for their scams, they'll continue to exist.
Trust me on this.
It seems like every day a new scam is born.
New Web based swindles are launched every day.
  1.
If it's a job (an offer of employment) NEVER, EVER pay money to get hired.
Think of it this way: If your current boss told you to pay him to put you on payroll or for paperclips, you'd think he was nuts.
Any job ad that asks for money should automatically be deleted.
2.
Money transferring and processing schemes have left people destitute and without banking privileges.
What happens is that in a few days to a few months later, your bank informs you that the check you cashed is bogus and now you're liable for ALL the money you just sent (by a real cashier's check) to the scammer.
3.
Never join a home business that is focused only on recruiting or that doesn't have a quality product to sell.
Legitimate home businesses always have good products and services.
4.
Most ads for mystery shoppers are actually scams that attempt to hit you up for a fee.
If a mystery shopping firm is asking you to pay a fee they are not making you a legitimate job offer.
Whatever they call it you shouldn't pay the fee.
5.
A typical refund tracer ad might look like this: "A Government related home based income program has been introduced to the general public.
You will be assisting the federal government by processing mortgage refunds.
" 6.
"Do you want to earn extra money from the comfort of your own home?" You respond to the advertisement in the local free newspaper or on a telephone pole which asks you to send $10 to the address you are given.
If anyone tries to track the address down, it will turn out to be a shop that takes in mail for people.
Frequently, those who get scammed report having a niggling feeling that they were sending their money off to a scam.
There are many different types of scams.
Scammers are master marketers and brilliant copywriters.
They could lose you anywhere from $10 to $10,000.
