How to Disinfect Nail Clippers
- 1). Remove any dirt that might be caked onto the nail clippers. To do this, boil water in an old pot (preferably one you aren't going to use again), and add some dishwashing detergent. Soak the nail clippers in this mixture for about 10 minutes.
- 2). Dab rubbing alcohol onto a soft cloth or tissues. Wipe the nail clippers with the alcohol to disinfect them. Alternatively, you can pour rubbing alcohol over the clippers in order to reach all the small crevices.
- 3). Dry the nail clippers thoroughly to keep them from rusting. You can do this with a blow dryer. Be mindful that the clippers will be hot to the touch. Or you can manually dry the clippers with an absorbent towel.
