Hypnosis And Stress Management

27
As a stand alone program used for the treatment of different conditions, Hypnosis when used to treat and in the management of stress offers a way to eliminate the need for medication.
Opening one's mind to the possibility of a calm and peaceful life, managing daily triggers and activators allows us to be in control of any situation no matter how bad it may get.
It offers as a form of therapy, a way to tune and rewire the way we would otherwise handle demanding situations.
It may be through hypnosis by a licensed Hypno-therapist or through self induced hypnosis.
Ones experience under hypnosis, or conductive phase of the therapy, would be to feel as if one is in a trance like state which allows one to enter what is so called a "theta" or "delta" state of consciousness.
This stage can be described as being in either a deep or light sleep where one may experience and altered state of consciousness.
During the assisted version, a licensed practitioner will guide you into the above mentioned state thereby leading you to manipulate your thoughts and reactions to certain situations in the suggestive state.
The results of these sessions will be more profoundly felt than the individually induced mental conditioning.
A majority of people may not be all that comfortable with the assisted version and opt to do it by themselves.
It is more commonly used alongside a stress management plan or program.
it will require that the person is comfortable and out of the way of any distractions as in the first assisted version.
There will be the usual process of relaxation by use of breathing techniques as well as visual mental conditioning by going over feelings felt in every bit of ones body.
This is an important stage to release any muscular tension where ever it may exist that would otherwise prevent one from going under and falling into a trance.
In a self induced state, one will simply allow ones subconscious mind take control with the conscious mind entering into an altered state of being.
In order for it to be effective, the conscious mind should be able to impart an intent to the subconscious mind before achieving a true hypnotic state.
A time limit should be imposed on all sessions, between fifteen to twenty minutes in length, no more, to allow ample time for the subconscious mind to accept or respond to any suggestions made.
The individual should be aroused back to their conscious state of being awake within the prescribed time.
