How to Wrap a Present to Carry on a Plane
- 1). Lay the paper out on a flat surface. Place the bottom of the box on the paper and make sure you have enough paper to go all the way up the side and slightly over the top edge. Cut your paper. Begin your wrapping as though you are wrapping the entire box. When you get the paper to the top edge of the box, though, fold it over and tape it inside the edge of the box.
- 2). Continue this procedure until all sides are covered and taped inside the top edge of the box. Lay your paper out again and cut it so the paper overlaps the top edge of the lid.
- 3). Place the lid in the center of the paper and begin as you did with the bottom, by folding the paper up and over the edge of the lid. Tape it securely. Continue in this manner until the entire lid is covered and securely taped inside the paper.
- 4). Placing a bow and ribbon on the package is simple as well. Simply cut your ribbon so it goes from inside one edge to the inside of the other edge. Cut the ribbon and securely tape it in place. Repeat this for each ribbon you'd like to incorporate onto the package. Do the same thing for the lid. Place the bow in the middle of the lid and place the lid on the box. Now you have a package that can easily be opened and inspected.
