    • 2). Be good to yourself. Go to the gym and work out, eat healthfully, get a massage. Schedule time to hang out with your friends. It is important to realize that you are a valuable person even though you are no longer with your significant other.

    • 3). Change your look. Sometimes the end of a relationship can signal the beginning of a new and exciting life. Change your hairstyle or get a new outfit. A new look will give you a fresh outlook on your future and increase your self-esteem.

    • 4). Talk to a counselor. If you are having difficulty letting go of your attachment to your ex, talk it out with a trained counselor.
