How to Price Toasters and Blenders at a Garage Sale
- 1). Examine the appliance very carefully, looking for any cosmetic flaws that will reduce the value in a buyer's mind. Dings, scratches and blemishes are always points that buyers will note first.
- 2). Check Internet sites with free ads to see what the price is for comparable appliances.
- 3). Drop in at your local thrift stores and note their pricing for similar items. Mark your toaster and blender lower.
- 4). Look for the price of the product when new. Charge 1/3 to 1/4 of that price.
- 5). Visit local garage sales and see what prices others are asking for toasters and blenders. Price yours lower.
