How to Rig a Crayfish
- 1). Tie a Palomar knot (see Resources) to attach a size 2 or 4 hook to the end of 6- to 8-pound fishing line.
- 2). Crimp one or two split shot sinkers on the line about 12 inches above the hook. The weights need to be heavy enough to drag the crayfish to the bottom and keep it there.
- 3). Place the point of the hook about 1/2 inch from the bottom end of the crayfish's tail. Push the hook up through the tail and out the top of it.
