Another example is when you are walking on the street and there are dogs barking, if you know that these dogs feed on your fear and will ignore you if you ignore them, your heart will not beat faster and your initial stress will be lowered.
But if you end up thinking that they will bite you, then your stress will be maximized.
In short, if you have knowledge or understanding of the situation, you are less prone to stress than anyone else.
If you have a preset of solutions to situation, your exposure to stress is very minimal.
