A journal can be especially helpful if the gardener is planting a multitude of seedlings, as it can help him remember when to transplant and pinch back. • Purchase a coiled hose that attaches to the kitchen sink. This handy tool can be used to water houseplants and seedlings without transporting everything to the countertop. An indoor hose typically comes in a length of 50 feet with an attached wand that can spray a fine mist or a solid stream.
  
  

Plant Lights

• Grow lights provide the necessary light spectrum for indoor plants when there isn't enough natural light. Plant lights can be mounted on an adjustable stand or shelving. Include a timer that can be adjusted to turn the lights on and off so that the plants get the right amount of light alternated with darkness to mimic what they would receive in a more natural environment.
