Moving on With Life

17
Whenever life presents us with an obstacle we have three different courses of action.
We can either quit, camp or climb.
This works with all levels of adversity, and is something that makes the difference in how we live our lives and our levels of successes.
Since we are very complex creatures not only do we have to deal with the physical, but also the emotional, and mental parts that shape our behaviors.
It is also true that we are attracted to like minded people, and so the crowd that you hang out with does speak a lot about who you are as a person.
You might not think that it is fair to do so, but the reality is that after coexisting with a certain individual after a short while you start to exhibit their traits as well.
The quitters always take the easy way out, and whether subjected to something that seems too tough to deal with find a fast and easy escape route.
This group rarely accomplishes or finishes anything that they start, and are usually found bragging about everything that they could do if they only chose to.
The problem for them is with the follow through, and most are either scared of failure or success.
There are more people scared of being successful than one could imagine, since being on top brings more responsibility and work with it as well.
I have never met a wealthy person that has less problems than a bum because it simply does not work that way.
The campers usually accomplish something, and once they feel that the pressure is getting to great they stop on some part of the mountain of success and set up camp.
They are nowhere near the top, but also not near the bottom and that last part is what makes them feel good.
There is already a nice view down and it seems unnecessary for them to keep struggling and continue.
I would imagine that some of us are good at a profession, but we don't like doing it.
In that way it is easy for us to fall into mediocrity, and only do enough to get by at the financial levels that we are already comfortable with.
The climbers keep going to the top no matter the circumstance.
Usually this group is not lead by the thought of making money, but by something deeper within them.
Their 'why' is stronger than their physical, mental, and emotional roadblocks.
We all have these blocks as our body and mind always likes taking the easy way out, but it is up to us whether we chose to listen to it or push ourselves higher.
This type of person will be the only one out of all to be able to say at an old age that they really have given it their best.
I think that it is okay to be in either of the groups as we are all different, but you should at least acknowledge that these exist and choose which one you want to join.
