What is My Mag?
This is a business which working parents can build from home basically printing and distributing a local magazine into the community for local services.

The main idea was, once I had created My Mag, I had to market it to local businesses and services who wish to advertise within the publication.
The advertising costs ranged from small black and white ads to full page colour ads, its this where the revenue comes from.
Once you build a strong client database by approaching the businesses in the postcodes allocated to you, you create the publication and have it printed. Once this has been done, its distributed across your local area to residential homes.
As with any business, advertising and marketing is the crucial factor in success. This is something local businesses favour as advertising is a highly competitive market place, so for a business to get targeted advertising right in the faces of potential customers is highly affective.

My Mag is truly local. All advertisers operate in, or close to, the area that it is distributed in. There is strong evidence that truly local services are preferred by the majority of the UK population.
People like it and use it. The magazine is widely read and used by the residents of the area because it's RELEVANT to them. It only covers their neighbourhood. In effect, people love it BECAUSE it is so local and relevant to them.

My Conclusion:
I looked extensively at My Mag as I wanted to run a home based business, this in my opinion is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who wishes to venture into the industry, however, I wanted a business system that was ready and complete with every tool and training I needed to be successful.
Although the local community thrive on good local advertising, I felt that just being tied to my local area could have its limitations.
My Mag has many great features that is why it is highly successful, but after the research I decided that having the running costs of the printing and getting it distributed monthly just wasnt what I wanted.
With that said, I would still recommend My Mag to anyone who wishes to provide a fantastic service to the local community.
