Plumbing Issues

• If your Peerless faucet has absolutely no hot water, check out the plumbing in your home. First, see if the hot water heater is on. If it is not on, other faucets will also lack hot water. If other faucets have hot water, rule this issue out. Next, check out the faucet hoses and water valves underneath the sink. Turn the hot-side valve, located on the right side as you face the sink, counterclockwise to fully open it. If this valve is closed, the faucet will not have hot water at all.
  
  

Faucet Parts and Hot Water Problems

• Faucet parts inside the faucet contribute to its operation. The cartridge in the handle produces the hot water, for instance, by opening to allow hot water through the spout. If the cartridge is damaged or blocked by sediments, no hot water will flow in the faucet. If the cartridge wears out, or the handle does not properly turn the cartridge due to damage, it is also impossible to make hot water come through the faucet.
  
  

Fixing the Cartridge

• To fix the issue of a blocked cartridge, remove the handle by unscrewing the set screw and pulling it off. Unscrew the bonnet cap and take the cartridge out. Wash it carefully in clean water and put it back. Or install a brand-new faucet cartridge in place of the old one. This solves all common cartridge issues. If the faucet still produces no hot water, the problem is with your home's hot water or with the faucet handle.
  
  

Fixing Handle Damage

• To repair a damaged handle that produces no hot water, remove the handle by taking out the set screw. Slide the handle off the faucet. Inspect the bottom. It may contain damage or wear that is affecting its operation. If so, replace it with a new handle that matches your Peerless faucet.
