Summer Hair Extensions Maintenance

35
It's a period of swimming, beaches, getaways, and fun! Everybody loves soaking up some sun, but the summer heat can be hazardous for hair tresses.
Remy Hair Extensions can be hard to keep in good condition and can suffer from the sun in the summer.
Read and learn ways to keep your extensions gorgeous and glowing over the summer.
Good Hair Care Tips: 1.
Protect hair from the sun all the time The sun can trigger hair to frizz and become fragile which can cause breaking.
Make sure to avoid being out in the sun for long periods of times without throwing on a hat or headband that covers the head.
If you are going to be out in the sun for a long time apply a protective hair sunscreen on extensions.
2.
Never be hesitant to put on a swim cap Chlorine could be quite damaging to the extensions.
It can dry them out and cause them to become brittle.
Think about putting on a swim cap when going swimming that will prevent the chlorine from drenching your hair.
Even though this is the best option, you can also wet or dampen the extensions with cold water and apply a moisturizer before jumping into a swimming pool in order to minimize the absorption of chlorine.
3.
Do not forget to moisturize Your extensions get thirstier in the summer.
Try using a moisturizing conditioner and wrapping head in a cap before going to sleep, rinse out in the morning for a deep condition.
Always avoid treatments that have synthetic oils or alcohol because they will dry out your extensions rather than moisturize.
Try to find items such as jojoba oil, silk amino acids, coconut oil, wheat germ.
4.
Shampoo and condition the correct way Since the sun can dry out the extensions and cause them to become frizzy make sure you are washing them the right way.
This is a big part of keeping them nice.
Do not over-shampoo and under condition.
Be sure you are applying more conditioner than shampoo to keep them well conditioned.
Washing them more than once a week is definitely not advisable at all because it dries them out.
Try to easily use a leave in conditioner instead.
5.
Be Cautious Take care of your extensions in the summer by doing all you can to keep away from sun damage.
Bleached hair captures the sun and is more prone to be damaged.
Try a natural color that will not involve bleach.
