Laurel Holloman was married for nine years to architect Paul Macherey. They separated in 2010. Together they have two daughters, Lola who she gave birth to and Nala Belle whom she adopted in 2008.

In an interview with Curve magazine Laurel Holloman said, "My children come first. I guess right now, if you had to say, it would go: Children, painting and then acting."
