- 2). Set the alarm. You can choose to wake to a CD, the radio, nature sounds or a traditional alarm. To wake to a CD or the alarm, you must set the alarm via the "Alarm 1" button. To wake to the radio or nature sounds, you must set the "Alarm 2" button. Press either the "Alarm 1" or "Alarm 2" button until the display flashes. Set the time with the "Forward/Minute" and "Reverse/Hour" buttons, and wait a few seconds after you are done for it to set automatically and revert back to the time display. To choose between CD or alarm, simply have a CD in the tray if you would like a CD and have it empty if you would like the alarm. To choose between radio and nature sounds as your alarmo, select "AM/FM" or "Nature" on the slider switch on the right of the unit.
- 3). Install the batteries to backup in case of a power outage. A compartment on the underside of the unit can be opened to insert two AA batteries. Follow the illustration provided within to determine which way each one goes. Upon a power failure, all other functions besides the clock display will not operate, however times set for alarms will be retained, and will work upon the recovery of power.
- 4). Use the CD tray to play your CDs. Open the CD tray by pushing the "Open" button on the front face. Insert a CD and close the lid. The buttons directly above the lid control the play, pause, fast forward, reverse, skip and stopping of the disc. Press the "Forward/Minute" or "Reverse/Hour" to skip songs, or hold the buttons to fast forward or reverse the songs. To repeat a song, press the "Play Mode" button while the song is playing, and to repeat the entire CD, press the button twice. To randomize the song sequence, press the button a third time.
- 5). Use the import jack on the bottom left side of the base to connect your MP3 player. The volume is adjusted via the volume dial for the alarm clock, located on the right side of the unit.
- 6). Listen to the radio or nature sounds. For the radio or nature functions, press the "On/Sleep" button on the front face of the unit to turn it on.
