Our Crow"s Feet Chemical Peel Guide

Smile lines, character lines and laugh lines are the common names of a common skin aging sign called crow's feet.
These lines start to appear when you reach your mid twenties.
These little "V" lines on the corners of the eyes and mouth are the natural response to the aging process as well as the result of many years of smiling, laughing, squinting and frowning.
But the biggest factor why these lines appear is the loss of skin elasticity and the reduction of collagen for the skin cells to function because of age.
Other causes of crow's feet and fine lines are prolonged exposure to the sun's rays.
The UV rays are potent cause break down of collagen in the skin.
Smoking is another factor that speeds up the skin's aging process.
Avoiding these causative factors helps to prevent crow's feet and fine lines to appear.
It is also very useful to use eye creams and sun protection creams.
Creams help the skin regain its elasticity while creams with SPF protect it from the harmful effects of the suns rays.
Crows feet in particular are reduced effectively with the use of crows feet chemical peels.
These are acidic compounds that are safe to use on the skin to induce peeling of the topmost layers to reveal a fresh new skin.
These chemicals peels usually contain trichoracetic acid or TCA, phenols and alpha hydroxy acids (AHA).
AHA is the lightest and most effective form of these acids for crows feet.
It comes in the form of fruit acids, glycolic acids, and lactic acids.
Weekly peeling is desirable with AHAs.
One good thing about peeling with AHA is that it does not require a recovery period.
Trichloracetic acid is desirable for a deeper type of peel to reduce lines and wrinkles.
Glycolic acid peels requires a recovery period, meaning it specifies some time to protect the peeling skin from the sun.
The strongest peel is produced by phenols and it's used for deep peel as well.
But phenol is a very strong acid, it is only recommended to be used only on the face.
Phenols cause a permanent damage to the skins pigments thus a permanent protection from the suns rays is necessary.
