How to Get Help for a Honda Generator That Will Not Start
- 1). Check to ensure your generator has adequate fuel. Most Honda generators run on unleaded fuel and have a tank gauge somewhere near the top of the machine.
- 2). Examine the voltage selector. Your generator will need to be set to the correct voltage for the device you are attempting to use.
- 3). Look at the fuel valve. If the valve is set to "OFF," you will need to switch it to "ON" before the generator will start. You can find the valve near the gas tank along the fuel line.
- 4). Determine the warranty information for your generator. Some retailers like Lowe's or Home Depot offer warranty repair services. If your generator is under warranty, bring it back to the store from which it was purchased.
- 5). Locate a Honda Power Equipment servicing dealer. Use Honda's "Dealer Locator" feature to find the one closest to you. There is a link to the locator page in the "Resources" section of this article.
- 6). Contact Honda Power Equipment Customer Relations by phone. You can reach them at 770-497-6400 between the hours of 8:30am and 5:30pm Eastern time, seven days a week.
