How to Curl Medium-Length Hair
- 1). Shampoo and condition your hair normally with the products designed for your particular hair type, such as dry, oily or normal.
- 2). Towel dry your hair by scrunching it in the towel rather than rubbing the towel over your hair. This will help avoid breakage.
- 3). Brush your hair to remove any tangles.
- 4). Apply mousse or styling gel that is specifically designed for your hair type. For instance, someone with fine hair would use a volumizing gel. Make sure to distribute the product over all of your hair, concentrating at the roots.
- 5). Separate your hair into 2-inch sections and blow dry each until your entire head of hair is completely dry.
- 6). Separate your hair again into 2-inch sections and spray each with a firm-hold hairspray.
- 7). Twist each section around your index finger until each is formed into a sausage shape.
- 8). Secure these twisted sections to your scalp with bobby pins and cover all with the firm-hold hair spray.
- 9). Allow the twisted sections to remain for one hour.
- 10
Remove the twists and pull your fingers through your hair to separate the sections. - 11
Curl your hair with a medium barreled curling iron if any sections did not become wavy or curled through twisting the hair. - 12
Cover your curly hair with one last coating of firm-hold hair spray.
