Work at Home Business and Employment Opportunities

13
IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT STARTING AND BECOMING SUCCESSFUL IN A HOME BASED BUSINESS, BEWARE OF PITFALLS THAT MAY "LIE" IN YOUR PATH: Once in a while, we like to take a look at some of these...
well, legitimate "Work-From-Home" opportunities.
Most seem downright laughable.
But you can break these down into two basic categories.
You CAN make a legitimate income from both.
1) Work for someone else; there is a multitude of businesses out there (large and small), that offer legitimate employment.
Most are sub-contractors offering their clients Home Call Center agents for cut-throat rates.
This normally results in relatively minimal pay for their at-home phone agents.
This is no either, believe me.
I've been there...
LOW pay and NO Benefits.
I would not recommend this unless you are truly desperate; own a super-fast computer with a lighting fast Internet connection.
There is an income here though, if it "fits" for you.
In either case "The Fit" should be primary when making a decision.
2) Work For Yourself; Now we're talking about a marketplace that's akin to walking through the midway of a real expensive and not so much fun carnival.
We can find almost nothing but scams.
There's lots of money to be thrown away here.
There are a couple of MLM's that are fair candidates.
They do require quite a bit of unique personality traits though.
But, Does it "fit"? Research the job opportunity thoroughly.
Ensure that the employer or the job opp is legitimate.
Is there any investment involved? If you will be working for yourself, are there any licenses, permits or unique tax forms required? If so, are explanations, costs and procedures provided for obtaining such documents? Is training provided if needed? Will you be paid for your training time? When will you start being paid? These are just a few of the questions you may want to ask yourself before starting most any job, especially if this is a work-at-home position.
You will probably have many more questions of your own.
There is no such thing as a 'dumb question'.
Don't be afraid to ask.
Finally, you should make sure your decision 'FITS FOR YOU' in every way that is important to you.
