How to Attach a Swisher Plow to a Yamaha Grizzly 350
- 1). Jack up both sides of the front end of the Grizzly, using the frame as a jacking point. Do not jack up the Grizzly by its axle. Give yourself enough room to fit underneath the ATV.
- 2). Mount the appropriate size brackets to the outer-most location on the lower A-arms of the Grizzly. Swisher provides multiple sizes of brackets with its plows. Choose the brackets that fit the A-arms of the Grizzly. Do not fully tighten the brackets.
- 3). Mount the leaf springs to both mounting brackets with the clevis pin and hair pin provided with the plow kit.
- 4). Attach the channel mount to the Grizzly's ball hitch mount by inserting a 3/4-inch bolt into the aligned holes and tightening a 3/4-inch nut onto the threaded end of the bolt with an adjustable wrench. If needed, insert provided spacers onto the threaded end of the bolt before adding the nut to keep the mount level.
- 5). Slide the slide bar into the channel mount and align the mounting holes.
- 6). Insert 1/2-inch washers onto two 1/2-inch bolts. Insert the bolts into the mounting holes. Insert 1/2-inch washers onto the threaded end of the bolts and tighten a 1/2-inch nut onto each bolt using an adjustable wrench to secure the slide bar to the channel mount.
- 7). Make sure all connections are tight and secure.
- 8). Release the jacks and lower the Grizzly to the ground.
- 9). Set the two leaf springs and the slide bar/channel mount between the spring shackles and align the holes. Insert 3/8-inch washers onto four 3/8-inch bolts. Insert the bolts into the mounting holes. Insert 3/8-inch washers onto the threaded end of the four 3/8-inch bolts and tighten a 3/8-inch nut onto the end of each bolt with an adjustable wrench.

Adjust the slide bar so the mounting holes are about two inches in front of the front tires. You need about nine inches of clearance between the ground and the mounting holes. Measure the distance with a measuring tape. Add or remove spacers (which were placed when mounting the channel mount to the ball hitch mouth) to make the proper adjustment.
