  Dartmouth is located in Nova Scotia, which is located in Eastern Canada. The city was founded in 1750 and later became incorporated along with several other smaller cities around Halifax into the Halifax Regional Municipality. The city offers a variety of attractions including restaurants, shopping and historical buildings. Dartmouth has also recently seen an increase in development projects along the city's harbor.
  
  

Founders Corner

• The Founders Corner's condominiums aim to fit in with the history of Dartmouth by combining modern amenities with old world charm. The entrance to the condos will feature iron gates that were made in the 18th century. The new condos will be located on Ochterloney and Wentworth Streets near local businesses, including restaurants and coffee shops.
  
  Only 38 condos will be included in this development. The residential units will feature views of the harbor and are located near the Halifax Ferry. Condos range from one-bedroom to three-bedroom units and three-bedroom penthouse suites. The one-bedroom units without a den are 759 square feet and 898 square feet with a den. The three-bed, three-bath units have between 1,880 to 2,308 square feet. The penthouse suites range from 1,293 to 2,290 square feet. As of 2010, the development is still under construction.

The Keelson

• The Keelson is an all-encompassing development project. The condos are located in a 12-story building that has ground-level shopping opportunities, including restaurants, coffee shops and markets. The interior designing for each condo was done by Norman Flynn, and each condo features five Miele appliances and a contemporary kitchen.
  
  Condo development amenities include balconies, an exercise room, a lounge and a car and dog wash area. Each condo has ceilings that are between 8 to 10 feet high and large closet areas.
  
  As of 2010, the condos are currently for sale and are broken down based on bedrooms. Most units come with a balcony. A one-bedroom condo has between 870 to 975 square feet, the two-bedroom condos have between 1,030 to 1,425 square feet, and the three-bedroom condos will have between 1,475 to 1,850 square feet. The larger condos are located on the higher floors and studio apartments on the lower floors.

Building I -- The Iconic Tower

• As of 2010, Building I, the Iconic Tower, is under construction. When completed, this will be one of the largest developments in the area. The proposed tower will be 30 stories high and will host luxury condos that overlook the marina. This is phase two of the redevelopment of the marina area. Phase one involved the creation of the Keelson condominiums.
  
  Other amenities will include a cruise-ship terminal, access to the marina and retail establishments. The Iconic Tower will be predominantly made of glass in a contemporary style with contemporary furnishings.
  
  There will be 1,292 residential condominiums when completed along with a 200-room hotel and convention center. An additional 100,000 feet will be devoted to retail stores, and an additional 50,000 square feet will be devoted to commercial enterprises. An undisclosed number of townhouses and high-rise units will also be part of the development project.
