How do I Sell Cadillacs?
- 1). Find the sales value for your Cadillac. Access the Edmunds website appraisal guide and search for the private sale value (see Resources). Use the Nation Automobile Dealer Association's (NADA) website to value classics (see Resources).
- 2). Clean and detail your vehicle. Take as many pictures as possible to include with your advertisements. Contact your local Department of Motor Vehicles office to ensure you have all necessary paperwork to sell your car.
- 3). Advertise to your market. For classic Cadillacs, advertise the car on the Collector Car Ads, Old Rides or eBay website (see Resources). For common Cadillac vehicles, advertise in your newspaper to reach local buyers, or on Cadillac enthusiast forums like the Cadillac Forum or use the Cadillac News website.
- 4). Include as many pictures in your advertisement as possible. Price the vehicle fairly (based on your research) for a quicker sale or price higher if you intend to maximize your profits. Describe the Cadillac you're selling in full to potential buyers. Provide any maintenance, restoration or ownership information, such as that your car is a one-owner vehicle.
- 5). Leave your Cadillac in a high-traffic area to attract buyers. Check with property owners for permission to leave your vehicle on the property or check with friends or family who live on a high-traffic street.
- 6). Meet with buyers. Receive your payment and sign the vehicle's title to transfer ownership. Follow any additional DMV requirements. Take your advertisements down.
