    Using Castor Oil

    • Cleanse the skin with castor oil, instead of a drying acne soap or cleanser. Castor oil is an oil that will not clog the pores, and will actually deeply flush out and purge the pores. Castor oil is cheap and easily available at any grocery or drug store.

Non-comedogenic oils bonds better to skin oil than water can, making it an effective and skin soothing acne cleanser for all skin types. Massage around 1 tbsp. of castor oil onto the skin using circular movements with the fingertips. After 3 to 4 minutes, drape a steaming hot washcloth across the face. Make sure that the cloth is not hot enough to scald the skin. The steam will open the pores to release the trapped oils, dirt, and impurities.

After the cloth cools down, dip it into hot water again and drape it onto the face for a second time. Once the cloth cools a second time, use it to wipe away the remaining oils and impurities. This type of cleansing method can be used twice per day.

    Using Baking Soda

    • Exfoliate the skin using a natural skin scrub that will gently, yet effectively, remove dead skin that blocks and clogs the pores. Baking soda make a very effective exfoliator that will buff off dead skin without irritating or scraping the skin, and is extremely inexpensive to use. Mix 1 tbsp. of baking soda with 1 tsp. of water, and massage it onto the skin gently. After 1 to 2 minutes, rinse off the skin with warm water. A baking soda scrub can be used on the skin twice per week to unclog the pores and diminish acne.

    Using Tea Tree Oil

    • Spot treat acne blemishes using tea tree oil, which is just as effective as benzoyl peroxide at clearing the skin without causing side effects, like redness, burning, or peeling. Tea tree oil, when compared to acne creams, toners, and lotions, is very cheap to use, and one bottle will last a very long time when diluted. Tea tree oil is especially helpful because it will not dry out the skin, but will still kill the acne causing bacteria and clear the skin.

Dip a cotton swab into pure tea tree oil, then dip it into water to dilute it. Apply the diluted tea tree oil to the acne blemishes up to three times per day.
