Pick Up Artist Tips - How to Approach Women (Part 1)

3
If you are planning on developing your pick up artist skills, learning how to approach a woman is the first stage in that journey.
It goes without saying that the anxiety you feel when you approach a woman will be intense at first, but with a good game-plan and an understanding of how to progress, you should make good progress.
The first thing to get sorted out is your material.
Any seasoned pick up artist will have developed a number of scripts and routines that they can turn to to help them approach a woman.
Like an actor learning their lines or a comedian learning the best way to tell their jokes, this material must be practiced.
So what you need to do is take some time out to practise and 'internalise' your routines.
(By internalising, I mean you should practice them to the point where they become completely natural as if they were part of your natural character.
) To start with, you might want to consider where you are going to be approaching a woman.
For example, is it going to be on the street or in a coffee shop or in the bookstore or library.
Remember that when you are starting out, maybe going to clubs and bars, where women get approached a lot and you have a lot of competition, may not be the best place to start.
Talk about running before you can walk! Write down a few routines and prompts to start developing a story or joke or anecdote that is relevant to your surroundings.
The routines and jokes are going to be most effective if they seem natural and uncontrived.
They MUST be aligned to your environment.
As soon as a woman feels that they are being 'read a script' or the approach is not in keeping with the situation, they will realise they are being picked up on and the defenses will go up.
Bad! Bad! Bad! The next thing you need to do is make sure that you practise.
It is one thing to have a load of scripts that you know but without practising them in the field and getting more natural and relaxed at delivering them, you will struggle to develop your win-rate.
There is absolutely no substitute for trying your material out again and again in the field.
The more you work on it the more it becomes internalised.
The more it becomes internalised the more natural it becomes.
On top of that, by practising you will also toughen up your reaction to rejection - and remember, you will get rejected! It is nothing personal, it is just a fact of life and the more you can become desensitised and relaxed about rejection, the better.
