Eric Church Biography begins with his birth on May 3, 1977 in Granite Falls, North Carolina with his first name being Kenneth.
He bought his first guitar as a teenager and taught himself to play.
Before to long he began writing songs and the time he was a junior in high school he had a regular gig in a local bar.
He obtained his degree in marketing at Appalachian State University.
After graduation his father agreed to pay for his first six months in Nashville.
He was introduced to producer Jay Joyce and was signed by Capitol Records.
Sinners Like Me was released in 2006, he had his first Top 20 hit in "How 'Bout You".
Also making the Top 20 were "Two Pink Lines" and "Guys Like Me".
Within a few short months he had a cult of avid followers who packed his shows and sang along to every word of every song.
The New York Times called Sinners Like Me "a strong candidate for country album of the year.
" Its "How 'Bout You" and "Guys Like Me" hold great appeal to the working class.
"Lightning" is sung from the point of view of a condemned man facing the death penalty, and "Two Pink Lines" portrays the anxiety of waiting for the results of a pregnancy test.
There is no doubt he knows how to sing about life.
Something that appeals to all of us.
As he explains, "Country is the coolest format there is.
It's the most real format there is.
We have the history, and we have the true artists.
' I try to go out there on the road and be an ambassador for it, because I love country music so much, and I want to treat it right.
