How to Make a Wedding Slide Show
- 1). Choose the music and tone. The tone or style you choose will have an effect on the music you play and the pictures you include. For example, a humorous tone might have a lot of pictures of the bride and groom as children or just silly pictures they have taken grown as a couple or with friends. Make sure the music is saved onto the computer, because you will need to drag it into the slide show program.
- 2). Gather the photographs you will use in the slide show before you begin putting it together. If you have a time limit in mind, the number of pictures you plan on using will determine the amount of time each one is on screen. You will need every picture saved the same way in digital form. Create a folder on the computer for just these pictures, and put them in the order you would like them to appear in the slide show. Most wedding slideshows incorporate pictures of the bride and groom starting out as babies and growing up, eventually meeting each other. Include plenty of photos of wedding attendees pictured with the bride or groom.
- 3). Choose a computer program. According to the "Wedding Slideshow Studio" website, you can purchase a program specifically for wedding slide shows that will be easy to use for someone with no experience. There are also several general slide show creators available for purchase online such as "Slideroll." There are even some programs you can download for free such as "Smilebox." Microsoft Office PowerPoint also can work.
- 4). Put it together. Once you have the pictures, music and program, putting together the slide show should be easy. The process will be different for every program, but the steps should be easy to follow (especially for a program made specifically for slide shows). Generally, you will be prompted to drag the pictures from the file on the computer into the program in the order you want them. You will then select how long you would like each picture to appear on screen and how you would like the program to transition between each one. You will add music to the program at the end. If you prefer, make the slide show without music, and simply play music on speakers separately wherever you are going to present the slide show.
- 5). Burn the slide show to a disc. This will allow you to put the show on a blank DVD and play it with ease on any computer or DVD player wherever the slide show is being presented.
