How to Streamline a Movie to View Online
- 1). Open your movie in QuickTime Pro. Click on file in the menu bar at the top of the screen and select "Export." At the bottom of the window that appears, click on the drop-down menu next to "Export," and select "Movie to QuickTime Movie."
- 2). Click on "Options." Make sure "Video" is checked. If it is not, click on the box. Click on Video "Settings." For "Compression Type," select "H.264." For "Key Frames," select "Automatic." Click the box for "Frame Reordering." For Data Rate, select the box for "Restrict To" and enter "2,000" in the box. For "Optimized For," select "Streaming." For "Encoding," select "Best quality." Click "OK."
- 3). Click on "Size." For "Dimensions", select "Current." Check the box for "Deinterlace Video Source." Click "OK."
- 4). Make sure the box is checked for "Audio." If it is not, click the box. Click the Audio "Settings" button. For "Format," select "AAC." For "Channels," select "Stereo (L R)." For "Rate," select "44.100." Under Render Settings, for "Quality," select "Best." For "MPEG 4 AAC LC Encoder Settings," select "128." Click "OK."
- 5). Make sure the box ix checked next to "Prepare for Internet Streaming." If it is not, click it to place a check mark in the box. In the drop-down menu, select "Fast Start." Click "OK."
- 6). Click "Save." After rendering is complete, you are ready to upload your streamlined movie to view online at YouTube. Enjoy your new streamlined movie.
