Home Remedies to Remove Scars on the Face

11

    Lemon Juice

    • Try lemon juice, a natural bleaching agent that's effective for lightening scars so they blend into the skin. Lemon juice is found in many bleaching and skin-evening creams as an active key ingredient. Rubbing a lemon on the scar every day before retiring will help the scar to blend and become less visible on the face. This treatment is not rapid and has varying results, depending on the amount of scarring.

    Honey

    • Consider honey, a very effective treatment for facial scarring. Honey soothes and evens skin tone, reducing the appearance of scars. This treatment is especially beneficial on acne scars. Warm up 1/4 cup honey in a microwave for eight seconds or less (honey gets heated quickly). Rub the honey into the face and leave it on for 10 minutes, rinse your face and wash thoroughly with your regular face wash. Do this routine every morning and night. Your results will not be instantaneous, but over time you'll see a significant reduction and even complete healing of facial scars.

    Vitamin E Oil

    • Try pure vitamin E oil, deemed by many to be the most effective ingredient in facial scar healing. Rub a small amount of vitamin E oil into the face, and then allow sitting on the face for 5 minutes, rinsing and washing your face thoroughly after time is up. You can do this treatment every day. If you have oily skin, you may want to pursue another route because this treatment can help to sprout acne after frequent applications. At the very least, acne-prone users are encouraged to limit their use of this treatment to twice a week at the maximum.

    Aloe Vera Gel

    • Use aloe vera on new wounds. It's a good way to prevent permanent scarring. Aloe has healing properties and will soothe the skin. Apply a generous coating (a dime-sized amount) of aloe vera gel to a new wound to encourage quick healing and eliminate scarring. Frequent application of aloe is encouraged until the scar has surpassed the scabbing stage.
