Cry-baby Legislators

11
Americans have been displeased for a very long time with health insurance and health care providers in this country. We have experienced rising medical costs that keep escalating while service keeps deteriorating. A little more than a year ago virtually every elected official on Capitol Hill was in agreement that the nation's health care system was in need of remodeling.

When President Obama presented his proposed Health Care Reform Bill the "you know what" hit the fan. The fight on Capitol Hill quickly escalated into one of the biggest and ugliest brawls in the nation's legislative history.

Judging from the behavior of the House of Representatives it is evident that the vote on the Health Care Reform Bill was not centered on the wishes of the American People. It was a show of party vs. party.

As a result of losing the battle to kill the Health Care Reform Bill the Republican Party gave an astounding and disgraceful show of their displeasure. These cry-baby legislators acted like little spoiled children who pout and throw fits of tantrums whenever they cannot get their way. They were like children playing a game, letting their anger and disgust get the best of them, agreeing among themselves that they would never, ever work with the President on any issues. Surely everyone in their respective state does not share their feelings. So how can they speak for the people in their home states with that type of attitude?

In the event that no one told these whiners, this bill is not about a political party but it is about fellow Americans who cannot afford rising medical costs. These cry-baby legislators whine about the cost of the bill-an act that will save countless American lives, but never once did they whimper when their own administration forfeited millions to fight a war that should not have been fought to begin with-a war that ultimately contributed to our present economic problems.

It is obvious that the Republican Party has made this bill a personal issue, having shown that they have no intention to help the little old lady in Somewhere, USA who cannot afford to pay her medical bill or buy her medicine because of outrageous health care costs.

They are disrespectful, having no respect for their own. I must ask, "Is this the kind of people you want to represent you?"

Nothing will ever change in Washington until this kind of infectious madness is laid to rest. Okay, so they don't like the President, because he's intelligent, because he's black, or whatever the reason, they should at least learn to respect the office. What kind of person would disrespect the office of an individual who is the most powerful public figure in America?

This current Republican Party is still bitter that their savior and would be leader John McCain lost the election. It is evident every time Mr. McCain opens his mouth to speak. What do you say to such a rebellious group of money hungry, power driven, bull-headed politicians? I would say to these whiners, get over it, and get to the business of legislating and if you don't self-destruct first just maybe you will get another chance at the office.

While I am on the subject of money hungry, power driven, bull-headed politicians, only an idiot would address respectful educated individuals as bastards, Mr. Limbaugh. Perhaps before you open your foul mouth to pollute our clean air with your filthy hate messages, you should look in the mirror where you might see the most glorious of all bastards.

The rest of the world may not be rich, but they are not stupid either. Everyone can see through these cry-baby whiners' hateful deception as they lie about the facts of the Health Care Reform Bill.

Here are the facts:

The Health Care Reform Bill will:

* Establish the toughest patient protections in history, guaranteeing Americans affordable health insurance options, extending coverage to 32 million uninsured Americans.
* Reduce the cost of care by cutting over 1 trillion dollars from the federal deficit over the next two decades.
* Ensure a successful, stable transition, many of these changes will phase into full effect over the next several years.

For millions of Americans, many of the benefits of reform will begin this year, some will take effect immediately.

* Small businesses will receive significant tax cuts, this year, to help them afford health coverage for all their employees.
* Seniors will receive a rebate to reduce drug costs not yet covered under Medicare.
* Young people will be allowed coverage under their parents' plan until the age of 26.
* Early retirees will receive help to reduce premium costs.
* Children will be protected against discrimination on the basis of medical history.
* Uninsured Americans with pre-existing conditions can join a special high-risk pool to get the coverage they need, starting in just 90 days.
* Insured Americans will be protected from seeing their insurance revoked when they get sick, or facing restrictive annual limits on the care they receive.
* All Americans will benefit from significant new investments to train primary care doctors, nurses, and public health professionals, and the creation of state-level consumer assistance programs to help all patients understand and defend our new rights.

So can we just for the moment, stop worrying about November, 2012 and concentrate on March, 2010, because we need health care reform NOW!
