Treating Panic Attacks With Paradox

Are you looking for help with treating panic attacks? Panic attacks can be super-scary and make the person feeling one think they are going to die, or even feel like they would rather die than feel any more of these horrible sensations.
When I went to the doctor for panic issues I was put on antidepressants the first time.
I didn't like them and didn't think the helped so I went to a different doctor.
This doctor tried some talk therapy and some crazy eye-movement therapy and when neither of those helped he tried to put me on antidepressants too.
I felt like I was on my own at that point - like I was going to have to treat my issues all by myself.
Luckily, I did find some help, and it turns out to be the exact opposite of what most people would tell you to try or what most people would think to try.
So, the paradox is, if you've always tried to calm down and stop feeling so panicky when you have a panic attack, the next time you could try to get ramped up even more.
Before you even have a panic attack you could tell yourself "I can't wait to have another panic attack", "I am really excited to have another panic attack" and change your pre-sponse to the attack right away.
Then, if you actually find yourself in the middle of one, you could tell the sensations "Ok, let's see just how bad you can get" and see what happens.
Sounds scary right?
