Warships Damaging Reef Off The Coast of the Philippines - More Environmental Damage by China

24
Indeed, if the global community is really worried about the oceans, the Pacific Gyra garbage patch, overfishing, dead zones off the coast, and coral reef bleaching, well then I hope they had recently taken notice of the vessels that have crashed into coral reefs.
Okay so, let's talk about this for second shall we? We've had oil tankers, cargo ships, and even a military war vessel hit coral reefs in the last year.
A coral reef is a living organism, and around it is an abundance of sea life.
It's very serious to environmentalists, and therefore when these things happen it should not be surprising that the environmentalists wish to put a stop to it.
My question is will the environmentalists and their movement protest and do sanctions upon the Chinese for their recent aggressive actions causing a collision with Mother Nature.
You see, The Chinese Red Army's Navy is looking pretty incompetent lately after its military ship got stuck on a reef recently according to an article in the Philippine Daily Inquirer titled; "Chinese warship stuck on PH reef - China radar reported set up near Kalayaan," by Dona Z.
Pazzibugan, which makes one wonder if the Chinese Navy is as strong, mighty, and powerful as they claim or just a marauding flotilla of junkets? Seriously, I wonder, as the article also stated; "The People's Liberation Army's naval ship No.
560 became "thoroughly stuck" on a reef at Half Moon Shoal during the previous night.
The warship is a Jianghu-class frigate "that has in the past been involved in aggressively discouraging Filipino fishing boats from the area, and can't move," and "The accident could not have come at a more embarrassing moment for the Chinese leadership, who have been pressing territorial claims and flexing the country's muscle ahead of a leadership transition later this year," reported in the Sydney Sun.
Well, luckily the Chinese have a better girl's Olympic gymnastics team for London 2012 games, one, which doesn't get stuck on the horse or parallel bars, maybe one of those young teenage girls could show the Chinese Navy how to maneuver? Okay so, that was a little joke, but in reality if you are an environmentalist, and I don't happen to be actually be one myself, but if you are, you should be concerned about this.
Some might say this is poetic justice for the Chinese and their attempt to commandeer regions of our ocean so that they can take out the rich natural resources in the area.
Still, I don't think the sea life in the region really cares much about poetic justice, I think they just wish to be left alone, and most of the sealife there have enough things to worry about in their own food chains then to deal with one more element called humans in their domain.
Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on.
