It is found that about 65% of college students admit to cheating and about 35% of them admitted to cheating by copying a document from the internet.

But in today's fast world many educational institutions become soft on cheating, this is because; to give students a second change as they are young to be considered; the fear of facing parents who may leave a negative feedback on their institution; not to lose their business; and desire to change the students attitude.
The background check done by the institution employees will verify the social security number; perform predatory register search; violent sexual offender; county or statewide felony; misdemeanor criminal record; previous school history etc and many institution will state that all fees associated with these checks will be the responsibility of the students.
