    • 1). Insert your "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004" installation disc into your computer. Click "Install" on the window that automatically appears to launch the installer utility.

    • 2). Click "Next." Advance through the installation utility and follow the directions on screen. Agree to the terms of use, type in your security key (located on the jewel case that the "Flight Simulator 2004" game disc came in), and click "Finish" when available. This will install the game onto your computer.

    • 3). Remove the "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004" installation disc from your computer. Reboot your machine.

    • 4). Insert your "Microsoft Flight Simulator X" game disc into your computer. Click "Install" on the utility that appears to launch the installer.

    • 5). Click "Next." Advance through the installation utility and follow the directions on screen. Agree to the terms of use, type in your security key (located on the jewel case the "Flight Simulator X" game disc came in), and click "Finish" when it appears. This will install the game onto your computer.

    • 6). Reboot your computer to complete installation. Both versions of the game will be installed on your computer and will exist independently of one another. To play a specific game, insert its game disc into your computer and click "Play." For example, to play "Flight Simulator 2004" you need that game's disc in your computer.
