    • 1). Eat grapes. Go to the store and buy grapes: muscadine or concord if they have them. Grapes contain a substance called resveratrol that may have a dramatic effect on fat cells. In fact, in a study published in the journal, Life Sciences in May 2008, resveratrol was found to be able to induce apoptosis in adipocytes as well as inhibit the formation of new fat cells. Red wine has reveratrol too, but alcohol may increase fat levels in the body. Eat grapes or drink grape juice several times a week to signal those adipocytes to get lost.

    • 2). Eat fish and be merry. Cold water fish, such as salmon and sardines, contain high amounts of oils called omega 3 fatty acids. In a study published in the journal, Chemistry and Materials Science in November 2006, researchers found that consumption of omega 3 oils leads to the shrinking, as well as the inhibition of the proliferation, of fat cells and reduces the accumulation of body fat. Eat fish several times a week and shrink away those unwanted adipocytes.

    • 3). Drink green tea. High quality loose leaf green tea contains high levels of antioxidant compounds that may seek out and destroy fat cells. According to a study published in the journal, Molecular Nutrition & Food Research in February 2006, the antioxidants in green tea cause thermogenenis of fat cells, which means they get burnt up and used for energy. Drink several cups of green tea on a daily basis to burn off those adipocytes as fast as possible.
