How to Repair Nonstick Pans
- 1). Purchase a can of nonstick cookware repair spray from your local kitchen center or online retailer.
- 2). Wash and dry the pan as usual, inspecting before drying to make sure all food residue has been washed clean. It may require some soaking before washing to ensure stubborn, stuck-on food comes clean.
- 3). Spray the entire nonstick surface of the pan with cookware repair spray and allow it to dry for 30 minutes.
- 4). Preheat your oven to 500 degrees while the nonstick repair spray is drying.
- 5). Heat the pan at 500 degrees for 45 minutes and allow to cool thoroughly before washing again.
- 6). Wash the pan with a gentle sponge, warm soap and water, and allow it to dry before using.
