6 Obvious Mistakes Poeple Make When Trying To Get Their Ex Back
It doesn't matter if you were married for 25 years or dated for 25 days, if you've gone through a break up chances are you're wondering how to get you ex back. It's completely natural to want to get back together, after all you've got a history together. Luckily for you there are several things you can do to re-insert yourself back into your ex's life. And these methods and techniques can easily be found online. Having said that, there is almost more, if not better, value in knowing what things you should not do. With that in mind, I'm going to outline below, six things you should never do when trying to get back together with your ex.
1. Continually harass their friends. As tempting as it might seem to tap into your ex's friend's for information, you need to avoid this. I understand that right now your ex doesn't want to see you and so going through their friends is the next best option because they'll have an idea of what they're doing and who they're with. I can almost guarantee you that if you do this it will backfire. Right now your ex doesn't want to hear from you, they want time and space to sort out their thoughts and feelings, so don't interrogate your ex's friends because in the end it will only push them further away.
2. Stalk Them. This goes together with harrassing your ex's close friends. Each time you show up uninvited and unannounced to places or events where you know your ex is communicates a very strong message to them...sadly , it's the wrong one. Every time you do this you tell your ex that they are your property and belong to only you alone. Should you prefer a restraining order slapped against you and you want to seem creepy to your ex and their family and friends, then go ahead and stalk them. But if your end goal is to get them back, I would suggest doing something more productive.
3. Face your ex's new lover. An execellent way to drive your ex further away from you is to directly confront their parter and try and scare them off. At this moment, I have absolutley no clue what you would say or do in this situation, but I can tell you that it won't work. All you'll do is come off looking like a controlling jerk and your ex's new partner will look much better in their eyes. So I guess at the end of the day, the ex's new partner would really like it if you came and talked to them.
4. Call your ex's employer. Perhaps you think that the only way to get a hold of your ex is to call their workplace. Or, you maybe you wish to talk to their boss to learn more about what your ex has been up to. I would strongly advise against this. The worst thing you can do is call them and pull them away from their job. Not only could they get in trouble for this from their boss, but also they're not in the frame of mind to deal with the past relationship and you'll bear the brunt of that.
5. Calling them non stop. Do you think calling your ex everyday is a good thing? I mean all you're trying to do is show them that you're still interested in them right? Wrong. Hounding them everyday with phone calls, texts and emails is a sure way to get your number and email address blocked and once that's done, you can almost kiss getting back goodbye. Now I know what you're thinking. You're telling yourslef "I'll just use a friend's phone or get disposable one." Remember, the name of the game here is to get your ex back, not make them hate you and never want to see you again.
6. Use their words against them. Do Not I repeat Do Not do this. Using their words against them and trying to prove a point won't get you anywhere when it comes to getting your ex back. But I can tell you that you'll end up looking like a fool in front of them and I can almost guarantee you they won't be second guessing their reasons for dumping you. In the end, this is a bad idea and things won't work out like you had hoped.
