How to Copy a Restore Point
- 1). Click the Start icon, and then click "Computer."
- 2). Click the "Organize" button at the top of the Windows Explorer window, and select "Folder and Search Options" on the menu that appears.
- 3). Click the "View" tab. Remove the check from the box next to "Hide protected operating system files," click the "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" radio button and then click "OK."
- 4). Double-click the "C:" hard drive icon.
- 5). Right-click the "System Volume Information" folder and select "Properties."
- 6). Click the "Security" tab, and then click the "Continue" button.
- 7). Click the "Edit" button, and then click the "Add" button.
- 8). Type the name that you use when logging in to the computer, and then click the "Check Names" button. Windows 7 automatically corrects the name. Click "OK."
- 9). Double-click the "System Volume Information" folder. You may now copy restore points from the folder as you would other computer files.
