IndiGo Airlines is a private, low-cost domestic airline that has its base in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. Commencing its operations in 2006, it has grown faster than any other low-cost airlines in the world, and has the second largest share in Indian domestic market. The fleet size of IndiGo Airlines is 56, with brand new aircraft Airbus A320-200 having a seat capacity of 180. After the completion of 5 years, it got license to operate international flights, the first one being from New Delhi to Dubai. As of November 2011, it serves 26 Indian and 5 international destinations.

Being a low-cost airline, it offers only Economy Class travel with no Business or First Class sections. The passengers get only complementary mineral water on board and no meals or other drinks. However, they can buy snacks, meals and drinks onboard by paying cash. An in-flight magazine called Hello 6E contains information on various items that can be bought onboard and the passengers can refer this magazine and buy things according to their choice

The IndiGo Airlines booking can be done at the booking counters, through 24-hour call centers, on the mobile phones, through the travel agents or on the Internet. Majority of the people now prefer online booking as it is fast and can be done at any time at the convenience of the customer. The passenger can check the flight status, flight availability and prices of tickets online. The price policy is dynamic with attractive discounts.
