Malaysian Tourist Increas Significantly to Indonesia
In last September 2012, the Indonesian Statistic Center Bureau (BPS) reported there is a quiet significant number of the visiting Malaysia tourist to Indonesia. For the Malaysian, Indonesia is one of the closest country to visit, regarding the distance. In fact, some island, or city between Indonesia and Malaysia is connected each other. Thus, the visiting activity between each other is easy. As reported by the bureau, the biggest destination of the Malaysia tourist to Indonesia is Bandung, West Java.
What is the most interesting thing of Bandung for the Malaysians? It is obviously the textile industry in Bandung. The textile in Bandung Indonesia is very cheap. That is why the Malaysians is happy to visit Bandung to do some shopping for their textile needs. Not only for textile, some of them is alsi buy for ready-to-wear cloths. As Muslim population in Malaysia is also high, the muslim clothes produced in Bandung, such as abaya, long dress, hijab, etc, is become one of the item darling that must be bought.
In last September 2012, BPS recorded that the number of the overall tourist around the world is at 683,600 tourists, increasing for 5.16 percent compare to the previous month, August. Overall, from January to September the tourist who have been visiting Indonesia shown the increasing number. It is at the number of 5.9 million. Compare to the same period last year 2011, it is raising up because it was only 5.6 million tourist.
Especially for the Malaysian tourist, they have been raising up from 75,300 visitors to 95,100 visitors. This is increasing significantly. The BPS said, and make some advise to the government that the government must take the advantage from this situation, by making a bigger tourism promotion special to Malaysia, so the textile industry will more even happier and also to increase the foreign exchange of the country.
In Indonesia, there are 2 main biggest airport for the visitors around the world how have been visiting the country. They are International Airport Soekarno Hatta Jakarta and International Airport Ngurah Rai Bali.
The Indonesian Statistic Center Bureau regretted why only those 2 main airports who acted as the most attractive one. But actually the case is there are many other gateways and places of interest that can be visited by the tourist from all around the world.
