Changes by Phone

• 1). Access your voice mail system and enter your current password. Most voice mail systems can be accessed by dialing your phone number and pressing "#" or "*" while the message is playing.
  
  
• 2). Follow the instructions to access your personal options (these are sometimes called administrative options).
  
  
• 3). Select the appropriate option to change your password.
  
  
• 4). Enter your new password at the prompt. Some systems require you to enter it twice or press "#" after entering it.
  
  

Changing via Computer

  Access the website of your service provider and log in to your account. You may need to register if you haven't previously. You will need your account number to do this.
  
  
• 2). Click on phone options and look for a voice mail setting. This isn't available with all providers.
  
  
• 3). Enter your password. You must enter a numeric password. You will usually be asked to enter it twice to confirm.
  
  

Lost or Forgotten Password

• 1). Call the Customer Service office of your phone provider. They will send you a text with a new password, or provide you with a temporary password for a landline.
  
  
• 2). Log into your voice mail system using your temporary password.
  
  
• 3). Follow the steps to change your password.
